Filtering

Resource filtering is done through page tags. Pages are tagged 'filter_XXX'

You must tag a page "filter_XXX" at least once for it to show in the filter. Unused filters will be hidden from their dropdowns/buttons, e.g, if filter_XXX is listed under the dropdown, but there's no page tagged "filter_XXX", then the option "XXX" won't show in the dropdown. There would be no point, as clicking on it would not reveal any pages in the filter results.

Filters are broken down into categories for topics, geographic region, resource type, and language. The filters under each of these categories are preset but editable in this page: https://ifem.nationbuilder.com/admin/sites/1/pages/128/basic/edit. You can add, remove, and edit filter tags under each category on this page.

There are two shortcuts for admins when editing the site:

1. One to the edit filters page “change filter settings”
2. One to copy and paste tags for ease of tagging “copy filter tags to tag items”

This page must have "filter" in the slug for this filter to work.

The 'filter_XXX' are tags that you can copy+paste onto resources for them to show up under the filters.
