activate by adding the tag module_latest_news to a basic subpage.

You will then want to tag a data tag to the blog that is holding all your news articles - say latest_news.

Then go back to the subpage that already has the tag module_latest_news and give it an additional tag module_latest_news:latest_news which tells the basic subpage where to pull data from.
