The Directory page uses the API to go get all users with tag Directory and creates a directory listing entry for each one.

Data Mappings

Organisation logos are stored in the user's profile image field.

We do not have separate organization profiles on this site - so we pull the organization name from the Employer field (Employment > Employer / Organization field).

Underneath the Organisation Name we display the Technologies that they work with - which come from checkbox custom fields.

The directory also takes into account Services and Regions for filtering, which are stored in checkbox custom fields on their profile.

Website URL is pulled from the "Website" custom field textbox.

The contact email comes from the "Sales enquiry email" custom field textbox.

"Base Region" is pulled from the "Base Region" custom field dropdown.

Filters

Service toggle filters

There are toggle filters for each "Service" checkbox available in the profile custom fields. The users will be able to determine their filters when they edit their profiles. One exception here is "Utility" - an organization can not list it as one of their services unless they have a Utility membership. Additionally - you cannot view "Utility" members - unless you are a Utility member yourself.

Technology dropdown filter

The Technology dropdown is powered by individual checkboxes for each technology option in the profile custom fields and represents the technology that they work with. The users will be able to determine which technologies they show up in when they edit their profile.

Region dropdown

The Region dropdown is powered by individual checkboxes for each region option in the profile custom fields and represents the regions where the organization provides services. The users will be able to determine which locations they show up in when they edit their profile. In addition to the individual Region checkboxes - it also looks at the "Base Region" custom field dropdown.

Sorting

There is special sorting applied to it - prioritizing "local" businesses first. Determined by tag "Based XXX" where XXX is the location in alphabetical order. There is another special case for the small "Tasman" region - where "Based Nelson" still counts as local. After all "local" businesses have been displayed in alphabetical order, it then displays all "non-local" businesses in alphabetical order.
