Email Subscriptions
In February 2025, Campaign Monitor emailing was removed and replaced with sending through the Reo Māori Nationbuilder nation.
Any Te Taura Whiri (Corporate) email sent from Reo Māori should contain the following link for managing subscriptions or unsubscribing - replacing USER_EMAIL_HERE with the email address this is getting sent to.
There are 3 places on the site where users can subscribe to emails - as detailed below:
#Newsletter Signup (Footer)
In the footer of every page on this site there is a "Sign up for updates" button. Clicking this will open a modal. By submitting this form - the email address will be automatically subscribed to the "Our news" mailing list. Users also have the ability to opt into the following lists as well:
- "Resource radar"
- "Te Wiki updates"
- "He Muka"
Level Finder Examination - Recieve updates
On the LFE page - the last module provides a way for users to receive updates about the Level Finder Examination. Clicking the "Hono mai" button will open a modal. By submitting this form - the email address will be automatically subscribed to the "Corporate LFE EOI" mailing list.
Toi Reo - Register your Interest
On the Toi Reo page - the last module provides a way for users to receive updates about the Toi Reo programme. Clicking the "Hono mai" button will open a modal.
Update March 2025
In March 2025 the Toi Reo email subscribe dialog was replaced by a custom Typescript form (created and managed by TTW). The original email signup dialog was disabled.
The "Honi Mai" button action is overridden by tagging the /toi-reo pages in Nationbuilder:
button_url:URL
When the button is clicked a new tab is opened to URL (in this case the Typescript form).
It was agreed that users collected via this form would need to be manually imported in Nationbuilder if bulk emailing was required.
To restore the default email subscription dialog, just delete this tag. The default functionality: Submitting the email form will subscribe the user to the "Corporate Translators" mailing list (now managed via the Reo Maori site).
