Each card in the event grid corresponds to a published upcoming event, managed in NationBuilder:

#📝 Add via the Event Form

Admins and users can submit events using the Create Event form:

Optional Fields

When a user submits an event via the form, a tag is added to track authorship:
author:USERID


🛠 Add via the Control Panel (Advanced)

Admins may also manually create or edit events in the NationBuilder control panel.

Required Field Mappings

Display Element NationBuilder Field
Event Name Headline
Description Settings → Intro → Intro text
Event URL website_url:FULL_URL tag
Time, Length, Venue Settings → Basic
Region (Location) Settings → State (use location_XXX)
Online/In-person Tag: filter_Online or filter_In-person
Fee Type Tag: filter_price_free, filter_price_koha, or filter_price_paid
Event Image Upload as page attachment

👉 For simplicity, we recommend submitting via the form and editing in the control panel if needed.


🏷 Filter Tags (Whitelist)

Filter tags enable users to sort and search events. All tags must follow the format filter_XXX.

📍 Valid Region (Location) Tags

These values must be set in the event’s State field using the format:

location_Region_Name

Valid values:

⚠️ If this tag is incorrect, the location filter will not function.
