Add an Inspiring Story

Inspiring Stories are displayed publicly at:

They are managed as blog posts within NationBuilder.

#✅ Required Fields

Each post displays as a card that links to an external story URL. The following fields must be completed:

🔗 Story URL (Required)

Stored as a tag in the format:

Clicking the story card will open this link in a new tab

The tag turns the card into a clickable external link.

📋 Story Title

Entered in the Headline field
Appears as the title on the story card

Headline becomes the visible title on the card.

📝 Story Description (Required)

Stored in the Before the flip field
Shown under the title on the card
Keep to 1–2 short sentences

Description entered in the blog post content area.

⏰ Publish Date (Required)

Stored as a tag in the format:

```
Determines sort order on the public page (newest first)

📷 Card Image (Required)

Uploaded as a file attachment to the blog post
This image appears as the story thumbnail on the card

Image guidelines:

Size: 920×600px (23:15 aspect ratio)
File size: ≤100KB

ⓘ Fallback Image Logic

If no attachment is present:

We check for a blog_image:URL tag (legacy method)
If none found, we fallback to the meta image

📰 Story Source (Optional but Recommended)

Stored as a tag using the format:

site_name:Source Name
```
Appears beneath the story title (e.g. RNZ, Stuff, NZ Herald)

📅 Final Checklist

Before publishing, ensure the following:

[ ] webpage_link tag added
[ ] story_date tag added
[ ] Card image uploaded as an attachment (or fallback in place)
[ ] Headline (title) set
[ ] Description entered in Before the flip
[ ] Optional site_name tag added
