Big Moment Requirements

The goal here is to capture all the requirements, decisions, and content that is needed to be determined when we have a new "Big Moment" on the site.

#Homepage Considerations

• What on the homepage will change?
• Usually we want to feature the new big moment by giving it priority over things that are always available.
• Example of homepage changes:
  • Change out the banner module
  • Add banner module linking users to new action
  • Hide homepage wall (usually "Share your why") or instead load in new big moment posts instead
  • Hide homepage scrolling activity (usually site signups) or instead load in new big moment signups instead
  • Hide normal homepage signup module - or replace with one for the big moment instead

New Landing Page?

• Will this new "Big Moment" have its own landing page?
• Is there a unique component to it or some additional media being produced for it?
• Consider what type of information they plan to display, and which module layouts to use for it

New Wall

• Will the wall be publically visible or is it private (i.e. posts only on profiles)
• Create underlying blog to hold posts

New Share Flow

• Are there any customizations / alterations to the standard Share Flow here? If so dev may be required
• Or is it a standard Share Flow?
• Need to set up underlying pages (Feedback form, nested basic pages for panels)
• Need to set up AWS, Cloudinary, Pipe, etc. for each new Share Flow
• API changes / updates to variables
• Need content for these panels (from client)
• Need auto-response emails (?)

Individual / Group Profile considerations

• Wire in the new "Big Moment" into the "Completed challenges" module
• Do Individual or Group Profiles need any special considerations here?
• Sometimes we display banners on profiles to direct users to actions
• Sometimes we display additional info on profiles (Ex: How many people are participating from a group, What action I am pleding to take, etc.)

User Menu tasks

• Will this new "Big Moment" get linked to by the User Menu?
• If yes - create a subpage for it here

Nav Menu tasks

• Will this "Big Moment" be featured in teh Nav Menu?
• Usually we put "Big Moment"s in the "Te Rangaihi Reo Māori | The Movement" folder
• Will want to upload an optimized, properly sized image by attaching a image with filename starting with "nav-image" - preferred WebP - 460px x 300px

Meta Data tasks

• Along with Nav Menu tasks (as shared excerpt) - can use a 920px x 600px PNG tile as the meta image (can be same raw image as nav menu tile)
• Add page tag "page_custom_meta_data" to override default meta tags

Cleanup tasks

• With this new "Big Moment" coming up - do we need to do any clean up tasks?
• For example - if previous "Big Moment" is still accepting submissions - is it time to turn those off?
• Do we need to move the previous "Big Moment" into "Past Moments", etc.
