Share Flow Overview
#Overview
The Share Flow pages collect user stories/submissions in a form, which is shown over series of steps (also known as a 'wizard').
Once the user has entered all their information, they submit the form and a blog post in Nationbuilder is created.
There are multiple Share Flow pages configured in the Reo Maori site. Some of the current pages:
Share Your Why
- Users can share why they are taking part of Reo Maori.
My Mihi
- Users can learn and submit their mihi.
Kaikōhau
- Users can submit their Kaikōhau.
Stories of Te Reo
- Users can submit a Story of Te Reo.
Te Wiki
- Users can share what they did for Te Wiki. A share flow page is usually created for each year.

Share Flow Panels/Steps
The following are some screenshots from the initial design but give a good visual introduction of the steps in the share flow:
Link into flow
- Links to the share flow page exist for each page.
Step 1. Intro
- The first panel in the share flow is usually a introduction (each share flow page can be customised).
- The text and optional image are configured in a intro subpage.
- Note the "progress pills" on the side - indicating which step the user is on. Each pill highlights as the user moves to that step, and the user can click on a previous pill to jump directly back to that step.
- Note the "start" and "cancel" buttons.
Step 2. Upload
- The upload panel give the user the option to upload media - either a video, photo, and now audio (not shown in this screenshot).
- The user can upload multiple media and select one media to make the "primary" media (shown in the media wall and displays larger than the rest on the blog post).
- Note the "skip" button to move to the next step without uploading media.
- Note the "back" button on the top left.
- Note "save draft" was not been implemented due to complexity.
"Skip" and "Write" are both "next" buttons
Step 3. Write
- The write panel is where users can write the text content of their posts.
- Users have the option to post anonymously.
- Note the page content stays the same - just hiding the Step 2 "form" elements and showing the text area.
- "Skip" and "Next" go to next slide
Step 4. Tag a group
- This panel lets users tag groups so their post will appear on that groups profile page.
- Groups they are currently a member of are listed, or the user can search for a group to tag.
- Page content change to special form instructions - generic to "tag a group" step - not specific to current moment or anything
Step 5. About you
- If the user has not previously filled in this information, the About You panel collects basic user info, such as their location and language level.
Step 6. Review
- The Reviw step shows a formatted final version of their post so they can review it. It shows the users media, text, tags, etc.
- If they need to make changes they can go back to the desired previous panel.
- Once happy, the user can Submit their post. This generates the blog post via the API. It is usually hidden until moderated by an admin.
- There is configurable "What happens next" text, usually informing the user how the post needs to be moderated after submission.
- The user can choose if they give permission for TTW to share their post on social media platforms.
Submission Received
- After the post is sucessfully submitted, the user is redirected (this page is configurable and different for each share flow page).
- A modal is shown on the following page, thanking the user for their submission.
