Testing Instructions

As of 30 March 2022 - needs to be updated

#Account Creation / Sign in and sign out:

  1. Sign up for a new account
  2. Activate your account
  3. Login and see the welcome screen
  4. Click through to the dashboard
  5. Close your window and navigate back, you should be routed to the dashboard automatically.
  6. Click the "Logout" button and return to login
  7. Log back in and you should be routed to the dashboard automatically.

Set Organisation name and upload a logo:

  1. Log in and land on your dashboard
  2. If your organisation name has not been set already - you will see a textbox with placeholder text "Organisation name" - enter your org (ex: "For Purpose") and click the save button.
  3. App will save and reload - your org name will now appear after your name.
  4. Now click the "Upload your logo" section in the top right corner
  5. Select an image from your computer.
  6. A modal will appear where you can crop your photo, you can also change it from square to rectangular if you want, or zoom in/out depending on image size.
  7. Clicking "Cancel" close without saving
  8. Clicking "Done" will crop and the logo will appear once uploaded.
  9. Click the "Save" button and the app will reload, your logo will be here and on your rendered PDF now.

Adding a goal and slide validation:

  1. Click "Add goal" - navigate to select goal slide
  2. Try clicking "Next Step > " - get validation
  3. Select a goal and click "Next Step > " to go to next slide
  4. See level is "easy" by default - select "Advanced"
  5. Click "Back" and select a different goal, then click "Next Step > "
  6. See that level has been set back to "easy". Optionally change level and click "Next Step >"
  7. Click "Next Step > " and get validation message "Select an action"
  8. Select the "Create your own" option but dont type in anything
  9. click "Next Step >" and get validation message. "Custom action cannot be blank"
  10. enter some text for your custom action or untick it, and tick some other actions.
  11. Click "Next Step >" and go to next slide
  12. Check for both validation cases on the Indicators as well, without selecting any and with having a blank custom indicator
  13. Click "Next Step >" when you've made a selection, page will save and dashboard will reload with your new goal.

Resources tab:

  1. After adding a goal above - your dashboard will reload
  2. Notice there is now a "Resources" tab at the top, click it
  3. For each goal added you should see a test "Resource category" here
  4. Click back to Plan Summary
  5. Below the "Add a goal" panel - you will see a "Resources selected for you" panel
  6. Click "Explore" and you will be taken to the Resources tab again

Value Statement tab:

  1. Click the "Value Statement" tab - you will see that you have a pre-populated value statement
  2. You can click "Edit" button and change your value statement
  3. After changing, click "Done" and the text area will swap back to body text
  4. NOTE: Dev TODO add a hard save and reload when clicking done, currently you'll need to click "Save" at the bottom of the page or add/modify/delete a goal which will save your plan.
  5. NOTE2: I have spun up a dev task for this but focusing on goal stuff first - ✓ Make the app hard save and reload after clicking "Done" button on Value statement

Delete a goal:

  1. From the dashboard - you can delete any goal by clicking the "Delete" button on it
  2. You will get a pop-up modal to confirm you want to delete
  3. Click cancel - the modal will dismiss
  4. Click "Delete" again, then select "Yes, delete"
  5. The page with save and reload, your goal will be gone.

Complete a goal:

  1. From the dashboard - click "Add goal"
  2. Select a goal and click "Next Step >"
  3. Select a level and click "Next Step >"
  4. On the actions slide, click "Save and exit"
  5. The app will save and reload - you will now see an incomplete goal panel on your dashboard
  6. See that the goal is selected, but no actions or indicators on the panel
  7. Click the "Complete" button - the app will load the goal and navigate you back to the "Actions" slide
  8. Complete the goal by selecting actions and indicators. The app will reload and your "incomplete" goal will now be "complete".

Edit a goal:

  1. From the dashboard - click the "Edit" button on a goal panel
  2. "Edit" mode will be activated for that panel
  3. Click the "Delete" link after an action and an indicator
  4. Click "Cancel" - edit mode will close and your action and indicator will have been restored
  5. Click "Edit" again - then click "Add action" and "Add indicator" - and type in text for each
  6. Click "Save", the app will save and reload.
  7. You should now see that you have added both an action and an indicator to that goal.
  8. Click "Edit" on that goal again - then click the "Delete" links for the new action and indicator.
  9. Click "Save", the app will reload and the action and indicator will have been removed.
  10. Click "Edit" one more time - delete all indicators and actions, and click "Save".
  11. The app will reload and that goal will now be without actions or indicators, so you can now "Complete" it to start with the default options again or you can "Delete" it to remove it completely.

Download / Generate a PDF:

  1. Once you have built your plan, added your organisation name, added your organisation logo, customised your value statement, etc. - Scroll down and click the "Download" button
  2. PDF Generation will begin - once complete the PDF will download to your computer. You will also get a link to view the PDF online at the bottom of your screen.
  3. Click the link to view your data on the rendered PDF or open the downloaded file to check for differ.
  4. If changes are made, save and download again.

Submit initial plan:

  1. Once you are happy with how your PDF looks, click the "Submit initial plan" button at the bottom of the page.
  2. You will get a modal with some text and a text area to record notes.
  3. Clicking "Cancel" will close the modal without sending.
  4. Clicking "Send initial plan" will send it off to the Language Planning team.
  5. Once sent - you will get a new modal confirming that it has been submitted.
  6. At the bottom of this modal we have links to the "Resources" tab and a link to the TTWh Corporate site.
