How to submit a Language Planning event

#3 June 2025 Update

In an attempt to reduce the amount of spam event submissions - we have decided to take down the open event submission functionality. Now a user must be an admin or have the tag allow_submit_event to fill out the event submission form. If users do not have this tag, they will see a feedback form. You should follow this form to get notified when a submission is made here. If a user submits enough information - you can manually create the event yourself, or you can give the user the allow_submit_event tag and email them to ask them to return to that page and submit their event.

How to submit

Users can submit their own Language Planning events by clicking on the "Submit an event >" banner - which can be found on both the new Language Planning landing page and the upcoming-events pages. Clicking it will take you to the English site's user submitted event form.

From this form - users can add in event details like Event name, date, location, description text, capacity, ticket cost, etc.

This page is a default NationBuilder form - events will be created by the public and the client will need to moderate them. This includes adding any filter:XXX tags - to let them appear filterable on the grid.

After the form is submitted - the event will be created in the control panel and - pending moderation (adding the approved tag) - will be visible on the live site after approved.
