Animation Guidance

Animations should gently guide people through a page rather than compete for attention.

1. Do not animate the first component on a page. Leave its animation switch turned off.
2. For every component after the first, turn animation on and choose Fade in.
3. Keep the page consistent. Avoid mixing slide, zoom, and other animation styles with the recommended fade-in effect.

Where a component has separate animation choices for its content and media, use Fade in for the content and leave the media animation set to None.
