A custom petition template is activated here - on NB Petition page with page tag layout:plunket.
This custom petition is setup to collect "I am signing as" and "Region" data from petition signers. If a user signs up as "Plunket employee" - they will be included in the "Plunket Employee" custom counter (with goal of 500 Plunket employee signatures). We also shows a recent feed of signer names and also listed out what region they are in.

Plunket Employee counter
Unfortunately there is not an easy way to bubble-up a count of Plunket Employee signees natively through NationBuilder - so there is some complexity in how this number is calculated. It is explained below:
When a user signs the petition they are tagged Open-letter-Plunket - as configured here: https://nzno.nationbuilder.com/admin/sites/5/pages/4869/petition/advanced
We then have an auto-tag filter configured which will add/remove another tag Open Letter Signee - Plunket employee based on signature signed + custom field set to “Plunket Employee”.
You can find this filter in the NB control panel here: https://nzno.nationbuilder.com/admin/signup_filters/19/edit
NOTE: These filters only run automatically once a day - but you can trigger it to rerun by:
- Navigate to the filter in the control panel (click the link above).
- You will be able to see a "last synced" time.
- Rename the name of the filter to the current time and date and click "Save filter".
- This will trigger NB to re-run. Wait a couple minutes and refresh - the "last synced" time should now be updated, else wait a couple minutes and refresh again.
We then have a nested directory page which counts the users who have this Open Letter Signee - Plunket employee tag. This is the number that will be displayed on the petition page ###/500.
You can find the directory page in the NB control panel here: https://nzno.nationbuilder.com/admin/sites/5/pages/4969/directory/edit
If you need to add additional signatures to this count you can do so by adding a tag petition_add_plunket_count:### to the petition page in NationBuilder.
Signature counter
Underneath the "Recent Signers" section - you will find some of the most recent signers name and region - followed by a "+### others" count.
This number shown here is the number of signatures (can be found here: https://nzno.nationbuilder.com/admin/sites/5/pages/4869/activities) minus 1 for ever name listed as a recent signer.
If you need to add additional signatures to this count you can do so by adding a tag petition_add_signature_count:### to the petition page in NationBuilder.
Additional notes
Directory page counters come with the following disclaimer:
“Only supporters who have opted in to public profiles will be displayed”
So if the counters are displaying less than you would expect it is possible that one of your signers has done one or both of the following:
- ticked the "Don't publish my signing on the website"
- unticked the "Send me email updates"
