Hide Page Headline
Page tag: hide_page_headline
Add this tag to hide a page's main headline from view while keeping its introduction and other content. On a modular landing page such as Scorecard, add it to the parent landing page.
#Using the tag in NationBuilder
- Open the page you want to update. For Scorecard, edit the parent page here.
- Under Settings > Tags, add
hide_page_headlineand save. - Keep the page's Headline field filled in. The headline remains available to screen readers even though it is visually hidden.
- Preview the page to check the introduction, modules and spacing.
Remove the tag and save to show the main headline again.
What it affects
- Hides the page's main heading, rather than deleting the Headline field.
- Keeps the page content and surrounding layout spacing.
- Leaves individual module headings, such as the carousel and logo section headings, under their own existing controls.
hide_main_page_content has a different purpose: it suppresses the normal opening page content, including its headline and body. Use hide_page_headline when you want to keep the body content visible.
The scorecard lightbox has its own heading treatment: its duplicate headline is already visually hidden by the theme. You do not need this tag on individual scorecard items to hide that lightbox heading.
