Top Nav

Control Panel:

The top nav is configured via the NationBuilder Include in top nav page setting. If a page has this setting checked it will appear in the NationBuilder Top nav tab where pages can be sorted via drag-and-drop. Any page visible here with a page status of Published will appear in the top nav.

The nav logo is loaded in via NationBuilder Site Settings "Logo" - which can be modified here:

The Donate button in the top nav is currently hardcoded to send users to /donate. Please contact For Purpose if any changes are needed here.

If a top nav page has children pages underneath it which also have the Include in top nav page setting checked - it will become a Nav Folder - dispaying itself and the checked child pages.

Add the page tag nav_folder to any "folder" page - to prevent it from being linked to in breadcrumbs.

You can hide any Include in top nav pages from rendering in the top nav by adding page tag nav_hide.

You will likely have the following pages tagged nav_hide

  1. Your homepage - as your main logo will link there - you probably won't want it as a top nav link.
  2. Other (folder) - If your site contains a lot of pages - you will likely have an "Other (folder)" in your top nav to ensure all these miscellaneous pages are captured in your sitemap.
