Default Basic Page

Use a default Basic section for a heading, paragraphs, lists, links and other simple formatted content. No module: tag is required. Do not add a layout: tag either unless you deliberately want to select an older module layout.

#Edit a text section

  1. Open the Basic subpage that supplies the section.
  2. Edit Headline for its heading and Basic > Content for the body.
  3. Leave the module/layout tags empty. Optional style, spacing or sidebar tags can remain.
  4. Save and check the assembled parent page.

Within a subpage_layout page, this becomes a section with a heading and content, using spacing:regular and the default style unless changed.

For example, a text section with a subscriber tile can have these page tags, each added separately:

spacing:regular
sidebar:subscribe
style:beige-60
page_no_robots

sidebar:subscribe adds the fixed subscription panel beside the text. Its copy and link are maintained in the theme.

An ordinary standalone Basic page without subpage_layout shows its Headline and Content using the standard page template. The module-specific sidebar and section spacing described here apply when Basic content is rendered as a module in an assembled page.
