Header and Navigation

The header is generated from NationBuilder's top navigation. It shows the site logo on the left, primary navigation in the centre and a highlighted call-to-action button on the right. On smaller screens it becomes a collapsible menu.

#Edit the navigation

Use the Top nav screen to add and reorder root navigation pages.

Pages such as employers_folder and community-alliance-folder organise dropdowns. Add nav_folder when the page is structural rather than a useful public destination. The tag removes the folder from the generated sitemap and adds noindex.

The header uses the NationBuilder site's Meta image rather than a page attachment. Its alt text is generated from the site's long name.

The current logo can be managed through the website's image/site settings. Because it is also the fallback social-sharing image, check both the header appearance and a social preview after replacing it.

Highlighted call to action

The theme automatically treats a visible root-nav page with the slug or URL /donate as the header CTA. A different root page can be selected with site_navbar_cta.

The button label comes from the NationBuilder page name, and its link comes from that page's URL. If no matching page is found, the fallback is Donate linking to /donate.
