News and Events
Both listing pages use module_filter_grid, but their content is managed through different native NationBuilder page types.
#News
Create News items as Blog Posts beneath the News Blog. The listing card uses:
- publication date
- headline
- optional excerpt
- first image attachment, falling back to Meta image
- any
filter:...category tags
The article page displays its own full Blog Post content. Set a clear publication date and social metadata before publishing.
Events
Create Events as Event pages beneath the Events Calendar. The listing card uses:
- event start/end date and time
- headline
- venue name
- first image attachment, falling back to Meta image
- any
filter:...category tags
Only upcoming events are loaded. For a multi-day event, the card automatically formats a date range.
Shared listing behaviour
The listing searches headlines, generates category toggles from filter:... tags, shows result counts and lets visitors sort by Newest or A–Z. See Filter Grid and Cards for technical details.
Keep News and Event filter names consistent so users are not presented with accidental near-duplicates.
