Content Landing Pages

Most informational pages use the same dependable Subpage Layout pattern:

  1. layout:page-header for the public page title, introduction and optional image.
  2. One or more default content modules for longer copy.
  3. Optional image/text, text-column, team, logo or form modules.

Add a section to an existing page

  1. Open the public parent page in NationBuilder.
  2. Create a Basic subpage using a slug prefixed with the parent slug.
  3. Add the required content, attachment and layout/module tag.
  4. Publish it and enable Include in supporter nav.
  5. Place it in the required position under Subnav pages.
  6. Check heading order and responsive layout on the public parent page.

Heading rule

The Page Header creates the page's only h1. Other direct modules use h2, and headings typed inside those modules should normally begin at h3. This structure helps screen-reader and search users understand the page.

When not to use this pattern

Do not convert News, Events, Donate or the employer directory into ordinary content modules. Those pages depend on their NationBuilder page type or external integration.
